Princess Maker: Children of Revelation Beginner Guide

How a run works

You raise Karen from age 10 to 18, starting and ending in March. Each month has three blocks of ten days. In each block you choose a lesson (costs gold per day), a part-time job (pays per successful day), rest (at home, free time or vacation) or, from age 12, an expedition. Once a year the harvest festival takes over a month. At 18 the game picks a career ending, then adds a marriage or epilogue if one qualifies.

Before you start: aura and cards

  • Aura sets starting stats only (Eldur for warrior, Rios for magic, Jord for social, Vatna for artistic). It does not lock you into anything. Starting values are on the stats page.
  • Fate cards unlock as you finish endings. On your first run you only have what the game gives you; after that, equip one Fate, one Belief and one Freedom card. Fate cards

Year one: money first

Lessons are the biggest cost in the game, so most players work before they study. The Ranch pays well early and builds Stamina; the Restaurant and Botanical Garden are other common first jobs. If you want Agares or the Princess ending, save for the Princess Maker book the first time the traveling peddler shows up (players report he arrives once you hold around 1,500 to 2,000 gold). See how to meet Agares.

Keep condition up

Condition runs from -1000 to 1000. Below 200 she is exhausted and fails sessions even with good stats; at -800 she falls ill and Cube keeps her in bed for a month. A common rhythm is two busy blocks and one rest block per month. Free Time costs 15 gold a day but triggers town events and quests, so it is the better rest when you can afford it. Diet plans also matter: food runs from 0 gold (Frugal) to 110 (Refined) per month.

Pick a target ending by age 12

Most career endings check which lesson or job you ranked highest, plus some stats. Open the ending finder, pick one, and steer your schedule toward it. The fortune teller visits every spring and tells you which endings you are closest to, which is a free progress check.

Build Manners for the castle

Every castle official needs a minimum Manners score, from 30 (Gardener) to 300 (Regent Deputy). Talking to them each month raises reputation, and their quests unlock the big endings. An early block of Etiquette pays off. Castle officials

Mistakes new players make

  • Running her into the ground. Low condition drags alignment toward Chaos and can make her delinquent or arrogant.
  • Spreading lessons too thin. Ranks decide endings; one or two focus subjects beat ten half-done ones.
  • Missing the peddler. Rare gifts, the Princess Maker book and the Princess Dress only come from him.
  • Forgetting a dress for the banquet. School uniforms and seasonal clothes do not count.
  • Ignoring Free Time. Several endings (Thief, Demon King, General, Queen) hang on free-time events.
